NLX welcomes Bryan Chu to the NLX technical team as Solution Architect. Bryan brings a diverse background in finance and programming. He will create value for NLX and our clients by designing, describing, and managing Voice Compass solution engineering for client-specific business problems.
Prior to formalizing his programmer passion and skills, Bryan spent a decade in Finance where he worked for some of the worlds largest financial institutions: Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, and Fidelity Investments. At Markit he was Vice President Product Manager after tenures as a Business Analyst and Product Analyst. While his financial services roles varied, there was a constant pattern of frequent exposure to programming that drew Bryan in.
In 2015, Bryan adjusted his professional focus toward software development. He enrolled in, and successfully completed, the highly competitive Fullstack Academy’s Immersive Bootcamp. That led to a series of successful engineering roles at a startup as well as the fast-growing speciality insurance company, Argo Group, where he spent nearly 4 years responsible for their insured portal and brokers quoting platform. During that time he also built their UI components library and frontend developer tooling.
Always looking to stay current and push solution design horizons, Bryan notes, “I’m very interested in all matters relating to the technology of tomorrow, today. I like to maintain a perspective on how a solution fits into the overall work and strategy of an organization. To do this, I try to be knowledgeable on topics then exercise patience when presenting complex subjects to those who inquire.”
As NLX Solution Architect, Bryan will collaborate with team members in NLX engineering, UX/UI design, and Conversation Design to lead the practice and introduce the overall technical vision for the Voice Compass solution. He will deliver Voice Compass digital assets for customer journeys and contribute to generalized code libraries that will speed up future journey implementations
“We’re delighted to attract Bryan to NLX Voice Compass”, says NLX Head of Engineering Operations and Co-Founder Vlad Papancea. “I had the pleasure of working with Bryan years ago. We often talked about various technology subjects. He instantly came to mind when we needed a talented, well-rounded and communicative Solution Architect who could grab and lead projects for the group”.
Bryan has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Financial Economics from Binghamton University and accreditation in Computer Software Engineering from Fullstack Academy of Code. Based in New York, Bryan’s love for his electric unicycle makes him an ardent and adventurous commuter. Bryan started with NLX on Feb 16, 2021.
