NLX Announces OpenAI Integration

NLX just unveiled an out-of-the-box integration with OpenAI for businesses!

In response to growing market interest, we are proud to announce that the technology underneath ChatGPT, OpenAI’s GPT-3 Large Language Model (LLM), is now available as an out-of-the-box integration within the Conversations by NLX platform.

Businesses use NLX’s no-code conversational AI platform today to easily and efficiently build, manage, and analyze all their multimodal, voice, and chat conversations in one place. The addition of Generative AI capabilities such as those provided by OpenAI means brands can augment and expand NLX-powered self-service conversations to include ChatGPT’s human-like conversational abilities. The outcome is more contextual stakeholder conversations that increase user engagement.

Here’s how it works: brands are already using NLX’s existing Natural Language Processing (NLP) integrations like Amazon Lex and Dialogflow to automate conversations. OpenAI’s technology can be added into the mix alongside existing NLPs, to drive even better intent detection accuracy with minimal training (or zero-shot learning) thanks to the massive data set that GPT-3 was trained on – a key driver of successful automation with high customer satisfaction.

Additionally, if the bot does not redirect the user to the appropriate intent, GPT-3 can provide a response, however, this Generative AI response can be unpredictable in nature due to its experimental state. (Check out the piece ChatGPT wrote for this announcement as an example.) Given the interest in ChatGPT, we are enabling this GPT-3 feature so that curious customers can experiment with it. To help combat unpredictability, NLX offers the necessary guardrails to provide content control to our enterprise customers. 

In the near future, NLX will be releasing additional capabilities powered by GPT-3 and other LLMs. (Stay tuned!)
